Abstractism - Roadmap, 5pt Plan, New Era 12:30 - Feb 22 with 619 viewswkj

All a lot of sexy words to mask the actual meaning of sod all.

Whether it is a roadmap to end lockdown that does the same things as before that failed, or a 5 point plan with no actual clarity on what the five points are or how they are achievable or the New Era! for ITFC which actually just meant "Give us your money for the year again please"

Wouldn't it be nice if we lived in a world where people in charge use normal language and not some ambiguous tripe so far abstract from reality that it keeps the peasants arguing among ourselves trying to assert our own meaning to it, meanwhile the focus falls away from those who just fed us all utter crap.

I feel that your request just isn't fully actionable right now and may require more imagineering before we can put it on our radars. Let's touch base offline and pivot this blue sky thinking into a quick win.

Will have to give you a rain check, I am working on my deliverables this afternoon then off to the pub this evening for some brain storming.

I wonder if this thread is inclusive enough to be a provider of overarching functionality, maybe a focus group should be formed to consider pathways to bring inchoate milestone targets into a customer facing methodology?

It's particularly cruel at the moment to use a travel-related metaphor as we can't go anywhere.

Additionally, read George Orwell's 'Politics And The English Language', in which he pointed out that the more waffle involved in describing something, the more shallow it will be.

A vital, and reassuringly short polemic, that should be on everyone's bookshelf.

I used to sit near somebody at work whose every phone call sounded like that.

I wanted to kill him, and on the odd occasions I see him in Bury St Edmunds, I still do.

#traumatised.

Was that before or after he put the letters of complaint straight into the bin?
