Has Evans stopped insisting on a style of play? 15:02 - Feb 24 with 631 viewsistanblue

Previously Evans stated he was insisting upon a particular style of play (passing out from the back, possession-based etc.). Has this now been dropped? It seems Lambert has reverted to something much more simplistic in the past few games and gotten success. If so, it just goes to show how utterly clueless Evans is about football. #EvansOut

Whilst last night was much more direct and physical; it was less punting than against Oxford, and there was a lot of passing out of the back. Certainly for the first 15mins and then two other 10mins spells there was also some great triangles of passing. Indeed just watch the passing leading up to Kenlocks pin point cross field long pass.

Would agree much of our game and play was a little simplistic and hurried. And to be honest I think Hull were pretty poor, and Doncaster is going to be a very different proposition.

Not sure the style had been completely thrown out.

What I would focus on is that part of the entertaining/exciting football Evans objective - has to be consistent attack and goal mouth threat- that is just far far too infrequent, and with Bennets almost giving away any attacking intent with his final ball!

I'm convinced Bennetts would try to pass even if he was taking a penalty.

People will assume it's because he's selling up! The owner should never tell the manager how the team plays.

I was furious with him last night,so many spurned chances and missed killer passes... and would definitely get Edwards back in the team over him.

On reflection though his was causing havoc and in one-2-ones the defender didn't stand a chance - so there is something there... but the final product!!! terrible... can it improve quickly?

I'd definitely have Dobra in over him
