Bostock had lots of ball and we gave loads of space but what did he really do with it other than move it on. I’m struggling to think of many occasions when he had a real impact in our half.

I think his job was to link defence and the Donny attackers, which he did brilliantly. As Mick Mills said, Donny’s main problem was their sttacking players weren’t very good.

Maybe that was the problem but Omar Bogle used to score goals for fun and their Richards was skilful. He did not create any notable chances for them. Maybe that is because he played too deep or is under instruction to keep the ball rather than try anything too adventurous or maybe their strikers didn't make any runs that gave him the chance. Personally, I just didn't see it that he was anything other than a skilful player that had little effect. Bennetts, Dozzell and Parrott are also skilful players who had very little effect on the game.

Yeah. But I think it depends on the style you’re trying to use. Donny obviously like a possession based system (and note how much better Darren Moore is than Lambert at achieving this), which needs someone to pick the ball up from the defence and transfer it to the attackers. Perhaps, like Dozzell, he’d be more dangerous further forward.

I think Parrott will become more effective when he gets a few more games under his belt.

He took Dozzell and Bishop out of the game and was at the heart at everything they did from start to finish. Seen a few people questioning this. It’s as good a player as you’ll see at this level. Would love to see him and Downes as a pairing.

100% this, it wasn’t Bostock’s fault they failed to score more, by far the most influential player we’ve seen at PR thus season, why he isn’t playing at a higher level is a mystery
