Starting to believe the club really is cursed 15:00 - Apr 23 with 1598 views | N2_Blue | Folami who had pretty much done nothing on his loan spell in Australia....gets released...and now I noticed he scored twice today. It's like everything to do with this club is cursed. It seems even the players when escaping the shackles of the 'ITFC curse' can begin to play again! Not fussed about Folami...and good on him for finally making a mark in the A-league...but coincidence this happens only a few days after his actual release

Starting to believe the club really is cursed on 15:03 - Apr 23 with 1547 views | TractorCam | I watched that match and have seen a few of their others, he has been very invisible in the others but today was often in the right places to get the ball. He was playing on the wing, one goal was a scuffed volley at the back post which deflected, the second was a nice volley from a corner.

At one point i really had high hopes for him and Ben Morris but it happened for neither of them...injuries were cruel to both of them. Mind you even when we have had a decent striker come through we mess it up by selling them without having a fair crack....Wickham, Rhodes and to a lesser extent Marriot. When was the last time we had a goal scorer come through the ranks and then have success in the Town first team. I'm struggling to think of anyone? I really hope the Academy changes its approach as part of the new regime because despite decent personnel involved something is not quite working.

I'd count Wickham as he did have a whole season leading the line, but before that I guess Darren Bent? Crazy considering we're suppose to have a good academy.

ah yes, how could i forget Darren. Fair point regarding Wickham...and we did get good money for him. Shame his career has also been so impacted by injuries as well.

Why was Roe released? He and Garbutt were two key players in our only successful patch in this league. We fired Rowe and signed Ward instead of Garbutt. Ward was too old.

timing was wrong on garbutt, he was asking for silly money, so we got ward instead. then he ends up without a club ,lowers his demands, and goes to blackpool. real shame as his set pieces alone may have been the difference to the playoffs. (i'd have kept rowe too) [Post edited 23 Apr 2021 16:43]
