Is it just me that finds it strange that there was pretty much no mention of Matheson after his very brief appearances.
I believe Twtd mentioned he got injured at one point.. but I was really surprised by the lack of announcement by the club on his return to Wolves.
Saw he played in an academy game last night.( not his first for them either apparently) Which is why I've brought it up.
Oh and by strange I dont mean something sinister. I guess I mean quite unprofessional. [Post edited 18 May 2021 18:05]

It would have been nice to have had a formal statement to let us know what was going on. He was the only loanee I was looking forward to seeing more of.
He looked bright in that Blackpool game, and then Lambert completely changed that side ahead of an important clash with Posh which I think was ultimately his death knell. Anyone who was still behind Lambert turned in that game.
Hopefully Matheson goes on to have a good career, but I think he'll need some more substantial loan spells to break into Wolves' side. |  |
