That was an early round.
We made the semi-final in 1986/87, but lost 3-0 to Blackburn. An East Anglian derby final had seemed on the cards, but Norwich lost the other semi to Charlton anyway. | | | |

Not sure. In the first year (86/87?) I think we lost to Blackburn. The others were 'regional semi-final' defeats.
Then there was the anglo-italian cup defeat Vs Port Vale, also a regional semi-final. [Post edited 15 May 2021 16:39]

That was the 91-92 season. Vinny Jones was playing for them. I do recall us losing a home tie against them a season or two before but that was in normal time and possibly a quarter final.
Edit. Just looked. It was an area semi in 89-90 so a quarter final in real terms.
A year later we reached the same stage losing to that lot up the road where I spent the whole night being police escorted around the ground with another 800 or so locked out Town followers. [Post edited 15 May 2021 17:08]
