Denmark to good. 18:52 - Jun 26 with 706 viewsOldboy

The manager out thought them and their players out played them. Would have been nice to play them at Wembley in the semis, but will probably be the Dutch anyway. Well done Wales, but a step to far this time.

Wales have had a pretty poor tournament, but good to see Denmark play so we'll.

Poll: Would Lambert have acheived better results than Cook if given the same resources

Better than 8 others and the same as 8 others, so not that poor.

One good performance from 4 matches. Lost their last 2 without scoring.

That's fairly poor.

We shouldn't patronize them.

By suggesting that they have had a good tournament and have done Wales proud, there is a danger of patronising them.

Not necessarily you personally, but lots of it in the coverage.

I think it started when losing 1-0 to Italy reserves was hailed as a great performance.

I haven't heard anybody patronising them. They did well to get out of what on paper was a tough group. Wales have a small pool of players to choose from compared to each side they played. Beaten by a better side today, but should be happy with the tournament they played.

I'll agree to differ.

They had one good game against the worst team in the tournament, and went out with a wimper.

I appreciate they have a small pool of players, but that includes Gareth Bale (one time world's most expensive player).

2016 was outstanding and they did Wales proud. 2021 has been a very different story.

You cannot compare 2016 to 2021. 2 of their best players then were in the studio today. 5 years is a long time in football. 5 years ago we were a decent Championship side.

I just did compare.

Hal Robson wasn't one of their best players by the way.

I'm happy to agree to differ. 1 win in 4 (against this year's whipping boys), and going out with 2 defeats in which they didn't score is a pretty poor tournament.

Robson scored 2 in 5 including the winner in the quarters. I only started by saying that Wales lost to the better team. You made it into what it is, not me. Never mind, you are not alone on here trying to make an argument out of nothing. I am going to watch the Italians beat Austria now.

You said "well done Wales". I don't think it was a case of well done Wales.

... I didn't think they'd had a good tournament.

No stress bro.

2nd finals in a major tournament in 63 years and with a team weaker than in 2016. And with a last minute caretaker manager.

The lack of quality showed tonight, but by they had a good game against Switzerland, brushed off Turkey with no trouble and did a lot better than most against Italy with 10 men. Based on where they are, everything that’s gone on behind the scenes and the level of many of the players they punched well above their weight. They’ve only got 2 players at the top level (who actually play for their club sides).

Poll: Do you think Pert is key to all of this?
