Bersant Celina - An Insight 12:20 - Jul 3 with 1671 viewsTomTheWriter

Can someone tell me where to start?

Honestly, how has this reached the 'targeting' stage. Should have been batted away by Dijon, because you can't have someone of Celina's quality nestling in League One. This would be mad, it would be surprising, but more importantly, it would get season ticket sales shooting through the roof.

I love the guy, the partnership of him and Waggy was outstanding four years ago. Levels above the third tier of English football, can you imagine him cutting inside on his right foot against Morecambe and Cheltenham defenders. What a time to be alive.

I'd love to know what you guys think about it all, plus here's the article discussing Celina!

I think that article’s fair. He was very much hit and miss down here, but a bit special when on his game. He seems to need an arm around the shoulder and someone to fully believe in him to get the best out of him. Mick was that type, Potter too at Swansea.

Poll: Do you think Pert is key to all of this?

Thank you.

It was interesting to see the comments from Celina about Mick, in the article that I used for the quote, it carries on to say that Celina compared Mick to Manuel Pellegrini. That tickled me!

Graham Potter seemed to get the best out of Celina, but didn't see him as being Premier League quality I guess when he went to Brighton. Maybe Steve Cooper wasn't as big of a fan, and found him to be the perfect player to get some money into the club.

Very interesting signing for Dijon.

4 year deal and gave him the no.9 shirt!! Never been a striker and never seen a midfielder get a 9 lol. Makes you wonder if they bought the wrong player lol.

Never be afraid to share your thoughts.

They certainly took a big risk on him, spending just under £3million on the guy, and the four-year deal was a surprise in the midst of a pandemic.

Four years and the #9 does signal intent, which is why even with their relegation, this could only be a loan deal because he'd probably batter Ligue 2 next season if he was to stay with them.
