Finally able to go and watch some football! 18:50 - Aug 12 with 704 views | acj | Stadiums are just starting to reopen here in Chile (limited capacity so season ticket holders only), and I’ll finally be able to go and watch my team Palestino on Sunday for the first time in 18 months. Wanted to share the news here because I am beyond excited, feels like a massive step in returning to normality. Just hoping now that travel restrictions get loosened so I can get over to Blighty and down to Portman Road for a game sometime later this season!

Get down there, pretend you’re visiting Paula fantastica, and sneak to the game as an away fanatic. Nobody will know you’re there you white Rasta. [Post edited 12 Aug 2021 19:10]

They are indeed, there’s quite a big Palestinian community here that arrived in the early 1900s.

It’s been pretty rough, at least here in Santiago. The lockdowns were properly strict - you had to get a permission slip from a government website to go out anywhere and no inter-regional travel. The vaccine program was really good though, way ahead of the other countries in the region, so things are getting back to normal now with daily cases stabilising in the high hundreds rather than 7 or 8 thousand which it was at the peak. Still have to wear a mask at all times and we’re on the red list for just about everywhere around the world for now, so really just hoping international travel becomes possible soon as I’m dying to head to the UK to visit family.

Good to hear it's easing up a bit. Hope you are able to get back for a visit soon.
