Scary incident at Wisbech Town Football Club at weekend on 09:40 - Aug 18 with 777 views | Bluefish | Very scary stuff. We have a defib at our place but thankfully haven't needed it yet. I played in a game once where the full back behind me collapsed and started fitting on the pitch with foam coming out of his mouth, it was scary and I rang 999 and gave my skipper instructions until the ambulance arrived. On another note, I've had many games at Wisbech over the years but once went there in the u18 floodlight league on a Thursday night. The league was quite a posh affair with Peterborough United, Cambridge United taking part alongside the likes of Histon, Cambridge City etc. The standard process for both teams to have a meal after the game provided by the home team. After a match at Wishbech we got to the clubhouse after a shower to find a bloke stood in the doorway, I was at the front and went to walk in and he step across to fill the doorway and said where do you think you ate going? The obvious reply was inside for some food and a drink and he told us he ain't fooking coming in here pal. We had to get the bus driver to take us to a fish and chip shop instead. Lovely place | |
