Why does everyone, form the owners, through to the manager, and players keep saying we are a big club? Sir Bobby famously spoke of us as "little Ipswich". Sir Bob kept feet on the ground, and was extremely humble, always saying that we were the underdogs, unfashionable, miles from anywhere and a small club. This talk of us as being a big club just raises expectations, puts a target on us. A bit of humility and acceptance of where we are might take some pressure off everyone and help us to focus on what is important, rather than trying to justify a tag that doesn't fit. |  |

Sit Bobby was talking about us in the top division and Europe. He would have likely had a different opinion playing in the third division. It's relative. No one will be banging on about what a big club we are if we got to the Prem.

Sir Bob definitely knew a thing or to about how to manage people, and keep people's feet on the ground. Let others say we're a big club. We at ITFC - staff, players, fans - should just concentrate on getting the club working, and not get carried off by fanciful ideas of how "big" we are. IMHO. | |
