In the interests of equality I trust they will be just as obnoxious as they are to the fellas.

It will be iteresting to see though, try as I might I can't imagine, say, Alan Judge reacting to a female referee in the same way he did when Darren Drysdale ruled against him for simulation, and if he had i think it would be really shocking.

We've had female refs at National North level for a while now. It's quite interesting to watch normally argumentative players do as they're told and politely call the ref 'Miss' rather than yelling 'Oi Ref' from 20 yards away.

I know it's ok, I didn't mean to trigger you. I was just highlighting it isn't always nice to be a referee.

They do deserve some stick, but mostly they are great. Consider over 90 minutes, how many decisions they get right that we just don't notice because it's right, but something they get wrong sticks out.

I think we have had matches against Andorra previously where they have tried to make up for their lack of skill by making bad fouls.

Following her promotion to the EFL we might see Rebecca Welch refereeing a Town match this season.
