Is this definitely right? Prideofanglia shows at least two league games with lower attendances:

The Men Who Made The Town has the attendances for those games as 14,000 and 12,000, which would certainly be more in keeping with those clubs' gates at the time.

I think so. Cardiff's average gate in 38/39 was 14,217; Orient's average in 46/47 was 10,048. I doubt the visit of Town would have seen the attendances plummet so dramatically - it's not as if Mick McGiven was in charge.
