A poor game, a good result 17:05 - Dec 11 with 663 viewsitfcsuth

Not the greatest footballing match, but given the mess over the last week it’s a really good point.

Norwood ay, as long as he benefits Ipswich Town, it can’t be a bad thing. Will all come down to fitness with him, can he sustain any sort of fitness.

If we move to 2 strikers, is there a role for Jackson as well?

It’s a good result away to a decent side, but not pretty. Huff and puff, probably deserved a point on balance (although how Keane didn’t score that header I don’t know). 2 up top gives us that option to go a little more direct which I don’t think is a bad thing, it means we can try and play our football further up the pitch. It does rely on our front 2 making it stick which I thought Norwood did really well in the 2nd half to be fair to him. We need to get players around them, I thought Evans was found 10 yards too deep if Morsy is going to be the one sitting. It’s like we’ve got 2 number 6’s and a massive gap between the midfield and front 2.

It was a heartening performance in terms of effort, if not quality.

That’s a really good post in my opinion. I thought Morsy was a lot lot better today. I think Lee Evans deliveries from set pieces are unbelievable. I like Burgess in there with Edmundson (who is outstanding for this level). I thought Bonne looked a long way off it again, as did Vincent-Young

I think the 4-4-2 has the foundations to give us a little bit more stability.

If fit squad do you think we could look like?
Walton
Donacien - Edmundson - Burgess - Penney
Burns - Evans - Morsy - Chaplin
Norwood - Pigott

I think we could do with Carroll's creativity in the midfield alongside Morsy.

Ready! Steady! Cook!

That’s a good shout, to be honest had forgotten about him with his limited game time.
