Grizzly already posted it, but I'd just add that UK fruitpicking doesn't start till May. So Ukrainian refugees being bombed, shot at & starved out only have another 2+ months more of that to endure & survive before applying. But hey, we're used to Tory policies that kill people off rather than help them ... |  |

I thought it was a parody post at first - but it really was the response of a serving minister in our government.
Am expecting Priti will do as she did after we scuttled out of Afghanistan leaving thousands exposed to retribution from the Taliban - namely she'll announce a scheme of sorts under political pressure and then fail to actually deliver anything in a timely manner to help those in desperate need.
She gets to play the helpful card without actually delivering on it and she avoids having to upset the anti-immigration loons in her own party / public. | |
