Thinking back now, I don't think i've ever felt as weird as I did that day. It was ITFC, they were wearing blue shirts but i've never experienced anything like that before where I felt like they weren't my players and had no connection to any of them.
I mean its seems obvious as to why that was the case but the first game next season is going to feel so different isn't it? Slotting 3-4 players max into the squad will be a piece of pish. |  | | |  |

I think the enforced 17 month gap made that day far more weird than the lack of continuity in players but I did screengrab the squad list from here to make sure I was familiar with the numbers. |  |

I can relate to this; my young Son was mascot and in the days/weeks leading up to the big day, he had absolutely no idea who he wanted to walk out with!
Luckily Kane made the starting XI and my boy's mind was made up!
