I'm so glad Boris won in 2019. 08:53 - Jul 7 with 436 viewsgeg1992

Can you imagine if it had been that other guy? We'd have a PM fundamentally unsuited to high office. Chaotic government led by a weak, divided party. A return to the 70s with high inflation and waves of industrial action. We'd have all felt poorer, with stagnant wages. Growth? Forget about that.
Thank God none of that has happened. What a golden era it has been.

Saw the above on Facebook and found it amusing but also horrifying. Crazy looking back.

It’s not as if vastly improved broadband would have helped anyone over the last couple of years, or there was a better way that the huge energy company profits could be used.

Yes, we definitely dodged a bullet there! (Not that Labour would have had time to implement their manifesto, but that spoils the game).

We have the politics and country we deserve, unfortunately.

Although the biggest area for a rise in standards is the media IMO. They've either cheered on or at least nodded through all of this. And they're the ones who won't hold politicians to account re: the state of the country or their plans to improve it.

Pronouns: He/Him
