Can you imagine the flouncing on their forum, signing a player who was alright for a team that finished 11th in the third tier here.

So went for the bigger money. Probably good that we’ve moved on now.

Yeah. Who wouldn’t have Harness over Celina? It’s not like Celina is younger and played half his same number of games in both divisions higher and has international and continental experience to go with his equivalent goal in every five games return…

Harness is “Championship” says Cowley; Celina is International.

What sort of logic is that?

Wes Burns is international. He’s in the same division as Harness.

He really isn’t as good as the hype a large section of our fans create around him. And yes, he’s an international for Kosovo. Currently FIFA ranked 106 in the world.

Oh, and Harness is a huge 7 months older than Celina and scored on average once every 4 games for Pompey.

Out of interest. If Stoke really wanted him. Couldn't they have paid more for an immediate transfer rather than loan to buy which then would have enabled him to gain a new work permit.. ( thinking of that fella who's signed for nodge)

a niche perspective

Based on last season there’s not much in it between the two, Harness better goals per 90, Santi better assists.

I really liked Celina but if we can’t afford him so be it, and let’s face it we pay better than most in this league.

My feeling is if the wage saving lands us a Hirst/Davis or Yates we are stronger.

Yeah totally with you on that.

Initially disappointed but let’s see who it frees up to bring in.

If Harness was from Kosovo, he’d walk into their international team!

I may be completely wrong about this. I usually am. But I didn't feel like it was completely genuine when Celina came out and said that he really wanted to remain at Ipswich for next season. It could have been more that he was hedging his bets in case another club didn't come in with a better offer.
