England's Test approach under McCullum is unsustainable 15:37 - Jul 25 with 629 viewsMaySixth

great impact so far but had a lot of luck and not had to bat first yet
positive cricket is still accruing at 4.50 an over
many ways to win a match based on opposition and conditions
hopefully we get cute

Poll: If ITFC were to be relegated, would McKenna be poached to manage in the Prem?

That assumes that there is only one approach with no flexibility.

That is the worry though isn't it, flexibility n games. There have been times already when it's screamed out for reeling it in a bit, and we've smashed out, rode our luck and it's worked.

Won't work when we don't have a batsman or two in the midst of a purple patch. Going to be interesting to watch, great but bumpy ride at times though suspect we'll only get to crash and burn a few times before people get antsy.

No idea when I began here, was a very long time ago. Previously known as Spirit_of_81. Love cheese, hate the colour of it, this is why it requires some blue in it.

Conversely, we rain it in and lose those games. It's not always going to work, but at least its exciting to watch!

I don't think that's fair personally, some members of the team haven't fully grasped it yet and have been too attacking but Root, Bairstow, Pope and Stokes have shown a degree of patience when needed, it's not been unfettered hitting. Crawley insiting on chasing balls outside off from the get go has been a major issue for him but that's long been the case

We will lose games playing this way but the difference is we are trying to win rather than trying to lose when games are in the balance.

Poll: Will Phil ever confirm we are actually close on a signing ever again
