Agree it’s a great app. It brings people right to our door, whereas our post code covers a large rural location.
The only problem with emergency services using it in an emergency is that if if you get a letter wrong in a word , e.g. in panic the operator hears green instead of greens, then it could relate to a totally different location, even a different country!

One study found that there were thousands of instances of similar-sounding locations being less than 1km apart:

I'm agnostic on it. In and of itself it's definitely an incredibly useful tool. However, the attitude of the developers sticks in the craw somewhat, especially given that this is no doubt a big money-maker for them, and the fact that they are incredibly litigious against anyone who dares to make their own version of the system.
