Overall, a similar pattern to what we have seen under KM 19:18 - Jul 30 with 1040 views | homer_123 | Bolton started on the front foot and bossed us for the first 15 to 20 mins. That's as soft as a pen as I've ever seen I think. However, you know what - heads didn't drop, we worked our way back into the game and, frankly, once we scored, there really only looked one winner. By heck though - we really do need to convert some of the chances we create. Several excellent opportunities that we scuffed, missed or overplayed as well as some rather excellent defending, at times, from Bolton and a couple of very good saves from a really odd keeper. In the end, that match sums up us under KM so far, we can really open teams up, we play with energy and verve at times, we actually look pretty solid on the whole and create some very good chances but....struggle to convert. Was generally pleased with all the new signings, from what we saw. Ladapo is a lot stronger than his beanpole physic suggests - up against a man mountain of a defender, he did really well and, for a big lad, has good feet. Cats nephew was busy and really linked up well with Jackson and covered Leigh as well - raw but potential there. Davis, bless him, not the best debut but I actually thought there were signs that he's going to be very good. His positioning was generally very good (yes, he got caught before giving the pen away), technically decent and looks like a good player in there. All of our back three got caught with the ball at one time or another today - just need to be careful there! Have to say, the second half in particular, was very enjoyable to watch - it's not dull is it? We clearly have a purpose and intent. Doesn't it make a nice change being able to see what they are trying to do! So, to surmise: 1. We just need to hit the back of the net more, we create enough 2. Did Walton have a shot to save? I though we were pretty solid to be fair, even if we lost the first 15 mins or so today 3. Five subs - not a fan, disjointed and it's simply going to become a means to sh*thouse more 3. Big scoreboard - honestly, not much cop is it? They need to figure out how to use it so that it can be read. 4. Stadium rocked today - great atmosphere - that 5 mins before kick-off was something else!

Overall, a similar pattern to what we have seen under KM on 19:26 - Jul 30 with 981 views | unstableblue | Homer, agree with your thoughts on KVY reign: "In the end, that match sums up us under KM so far, we can really open teams up, we play with energy and verve at times, we actually look pretty solid on the whole and create some very good chances but....struggle to convert." But also agree with the below, the key for me, is I am really looking forward to trips to PR, I just hope we stay in the promotion race, top 6 most of the season, and we have such entertainment.. those dark day under Mick et al when game were just sh!t to watch, I do not miss: "Have to say, the second half in particular, was very enjoyable to watch - it's not dull is it? Overall, a similar pattern to what we have seen under KM on 19:42 - Jul 30 with 945 views | JDB23 | I think it is a worry that we just won’t score enough goals to get us where we want to be this year. Couldn’t see us doing what Peterborough did today for example. Still pretty solid defensively, looked a bit suspect to balls over the top in that first half but generally recovered pretty well. Some really great passages of play though and we’re brilliant to watch at times, just need to be far more ruthless. I will say the set pieces definitely look an improvement which is encouraging. Big away game coming up, I know it’s early but we really do need to hit the ground running.
Overall, a similar pattern to what we have seen under KM on 20:00 - Jul 30 with 885 views | ibbleobble | It’s undoubtedly an upgrade on what we had but as you say, the same problems we saw tail end of last season persist and as I said pre kick-off, I don’t think we solved them with what we did in the transfer market so I was hoping to see improvements in approach. A set piece goal is no doubt one of those so time will tell. What is interesting reading is that KM’s last ten games read at W2 D6 L2. If you take Cook’s 10 from the identical period, it’s exactly the same record. I’m praying KM gets more than 2pts in his next 5 games otherwise this board is going to be some spectacle! I’ve no doubt he will but that was 2pts dropped today.
