Howay the lads! on 17:50 - Aug 17 with 1213 views | Whos_blue | The self professed "best fans in the country" couldn't care less where their money comes from. Nor could the premier league. I mentioned this in another thread. The NUFC fan write up for the 442 season preview was most complementary about their new owners. Why would you worry about a woman you don't know getting sent to prison by the regime that funds your club, when a potential place in europe is up for grabs this season with your new found wealth? The method of execution employed in Arizona is lethal injection. However, if convicted for a crime committed prior to November 23, 1992, the inmate may choose gas inhalation instead. Arizona's death row for males is located at the Arizona State Prison Complex — Florence in Florence. Female death row prisoners are housed at the Arizona State Prison Complex — Perryville in Goodyear. Since capital punishment was resumed in 1976, 39 individuals in Arizona were convicted of murder and have been executed at Florence State Prison in Florence, Arizona.[9] In October 2019, Arizona's department of corrections paid $1.5m to a confidential source for 1,000 1g vials of pentobarbital sodium salt, a sedative used in the state's executions. U.S. doctors are not permitted to prescribe the drug for executions, as taking a life does not serve a therapeutic purpose, so Arizona has to find suppliers willing to sell drugs without prescription. In 2011, the state was found to be lawfully buying execution drugs from Dream Pharma, a pharmaceutical company operating out of a driving school in west London, UK.

I always like the detail some posters put into their posts, but I seem to be missing the link here. The OP was a welcome reminder/dig about NUFC ownership arrangements, as was my reply. I get the drugs were tracked back to the UK, but I'm struggling a bit after that! Whoosh incoming I expect!!!

The Toon are funded by a Saudi state organ.Saudi Arabia has a harsh punishment regime The Town are funded by an Arizona State organ. Whilst the Arizona firefighters state pension fund (or whatever its exact title is) funds the retirement of people who do good for the citizens of Arizona, we should perhaps reflect on a punishment regime that requires state employees to procure lethal drugs from a driving school in Acton. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Capital_punishment_in_Arizona#Executions_and_death https://www.theguardian.com/world/2011/jan/06/london-firm-supplied-drugs-us-exec

Okaaay. That feels like a bit of a leap there if I'm honest, but genuinely cheers for explaining the post. I think I can safely put my whoosh away for another day though!

I can almost understand (but ardently disagree with ) clubs who are blinded by the lure of glory without thinking deeply where the money comes from. But it's the Premier League who should be upholding the standards of fit and proper owners. Similarly FIFA with the World Cup. I despair that the people chosen to run these organisations are so easily corrupted and thereby support murderous regimes and absolutely shocking human rights abuses. People like Richard Masters (Chief exec of PL) and Gary Hoffman (Chairman of PL) need to be challenged about why they think these are fit and proper owners and why it is ok to take the money from these regimes. I honestly would rather ITFC never get to the Premier League than accept money from Saudi.

What is "an Arizona State organ"? We are not funded by the US Government nor the Arizona Governors. Whilst the death penalty is generally (rightly) opposed, do you think having it is on the same scale as locking someone up for 34 years for sharing a Tweet critical of the Government? I am sure you are simply playing Devil's Advocate here, but the idea that the pension fund that finances us is at all comparable to the Saudi government is disgraceful.
