An awful lot of success from crosses in the air last night, which isn't something we see very often. Do we think this was a specific tactic just for a weakness McK had spotted in Northampton, or something that we are going to do more of.
Very obvious that there was a lot more time in the box than you'd normally find in a league one game. ( Harness' 2nd a case in point), which makes me think it was more of a horses for courses thing. |  |

I think 4 of the 6 goals came from headers, which feels very unusual from us. Of all of them, Burgess' was the most pleasing in terms of recycling the set piece, a delicious ball from Humphreys and Burgess stooping to beat his man. We don't score enough goals from these situations, so let's hope we can work it into our game with more regularity. |  | | |

I suspect it is something we have been working on. It was very noticeable in the second half against Barnsley, we seemed to work the ball into crossing situations a lot. See the Vincent-young header and Ladapo miss as examples off the top of my head. |  |

Yes I'd be amazed if it's not something we've been working on. Literally every time I've watched us on iFollow (win, lose or draw) we have tended to dominate possession and have some good stats, but then cross success rate always stands out like a sore thumb - 1 out of 19 or whatever, time and time again. Last night was a vast improvement. Let's hope it rubs off on our first eleven, whoever they are! :) |  | | |
