Just idly looking at the fixture list to see what games I can attend...

Noticed

Our attendance for Carabao Cup was bigger than the 2 highest away attendances put together (Shrewsbury and FGR) 11,654 v 10,571

Our Pizza cup attendance was bigger than 3 of our 4 away league games

Irrelevant and boring, just like me

Our attendance for the Bolton game was higher than that lot up the road.

If you've got 34 friends and relatives, you could be bigger than Accrington. Imagine that on your CV!

It’s a relevant topic! the cloob is trying to grow match attendances. I was surprised by how many went to the League Cup game, thought it would be more like the League Trophy. Looks like we want to do well in the LTrophy this season which might help hold up attendances next time. They were both in holiday time which could have been a plus or minus if people were away Aug.

The next LTrophy game follows back to back league then cup Tuesday nights, with work, the schools are back that’s then more difficult for those of us travelling to Suffolk.

I think the fan is definitely reawakening and it’s growing very quickly.
Ii really hope the increased numbers in the ground will “ join in” the atmosphere and not sit there passively soaking it all up. I’m in the SBRL section 5 and I hope section 6 ( with OUR drummer), can raise the roof Saturday. We don’t make it intimidating enough when opponents are on the ball. The mouse should really be ramping up when they have a corner or are anywhere near our box- in an aggressive way. Give em the bird, the chants etc.

Years n years ago I used to sell the programmes snd walked around the pitch before the game. The crowds were not like they are now, but I can tell you when that North Stand started to sing it hit you in the pit of your stomach and as Beattie once said if Wembley ‘78, “ it’s like a brick hitting you in the face”. So all I’m trying to say is , WE can do more on match days and really try to get at opposition players, as well as support our own.

Yes it's really really encouraging. I wonder how many season tickets we could sell in the Championship (especially if Norwich fail to go up -0 we can but dream...).

There are only 4 Championship clubs with higher average homes attendances than us this season. One of those is Sunderland, who literally have an average home gate that's higher than half of the Premier League.

As things stand, we have a higher average home attendance that's better than 4 Premier League clubs, which is amazing going in League One (not least because in this league away fans at Portman Road are often not capable of getting anyway near filling their potential allocation).
