So much strength in depth too. Ball calm presence when he replaced Burgess, Ahadme looked a handful, Leigh up to speed of game straight away, John Jules making good runs....

We've got two first choice players for pretty much every position now

The way we control games is quite incredible. And as you say, a ridiculously strong squad with genuine competiton for all places bar a couple (Morsy and Walton ain’t getting rotated or rested)

I wouldn't mind a Hladky and cash deal for the Rovers keeper in January, based on tonight's showing. Then we would have competition for every position.

Mills commented this evening how this team wouldn't look out of place in the Championship.

Hladky has looked fine when he has played this season.

There’s got to be something wrong with our supporters if they’re genuinely worried about other teams in this division when we’re sticking in performances like last night.

Not 1 other team in this division do I give a flying feck about.

Poll: We’ve got super KM, he knows exactly what we need. Woolfie at the back…

Belshaw was a lot better than fine last night. The first League One keeper I have seen who has pulled off multiple Walton-like saves, looked calm when distributing the ball, and didn't make any actual errors.

But, you are right, Hladky hasn't let us down this season when called on. Also difficult to know how a very good number one would cope with being number 12 and only playing in cups. Whether they would be able to put in a performance like Belshaw last night is an unknown until the moment presents itself.

There's a reason some keepers are paid more than Walton to be third choice at Chelsea or Man City, and never play. But could play at that level at a moments notice if called upon. Walton chose to come down the Leagues rather than be second choice at Brighton.

They always say it takes a special kind of mentality to be a keeper, do nothing for 85 minutes, then turn it on when called upon. It takes a really special mentality ro be a good sub keeper, do absolutely nothing for 16 games, then come on, do nothing for 40 minutes, then turn it on when called upon!
