FIFA 23 on 19:14 - Sep 6 with 1825 views | SlippinJimmyJuan | 22 came bundled with the PS5 when I was lucky enough to be able to get one - the realism in terms of capturing the occasion on the next gen consoles is incredible, particularly when playing Champions League matches. I enjoyed the gameplay, the physics feels pretty satisfying and tactics are a lot deeper than they used to be. Haven't played it for a while though as I have been getting stuck in to Gran Turismo 7 and Elden Ring. In fairness to EA, they put a bit more effort into career mode in the last entry, which is the main mode I play. That said, they really want you to play ultimate team these days as that is such a big money maker for them. Not my kind of thing. I'm not too sure what they're adding to 23, although I suspect it will be a minor tweak as this is the last edition before it changes to EA Football Club or whatever it will be called. I will probably trade in 22 for 23 purely to see what I can do with the McKenna squad and to see those glorious kits on my TV screen whenever I wish. I doubt our third kit will be in though :(

FIFA 23 on 09:59 - Sep 7 with 1427 views | SamWhiteUK | I got Fifa 22 free on PS+ that I play with my brother. I'm not paying £60 for the same game again when the current one has enough nonsense and bullsh!t in it/
FIFA 23 on 17:07 - Oct 3 with 1154 views | SlippinJimmyJuan | I traded in 22 and picked up 23 on Saturday evening. As someone that only plays career mode, I have to say it is a bit disappointing. Very minimal changes from last year in terms of the menus and tactics. The gameplay is interesting, I find it a bit slow and clunky, but it has it's moments. Going forward I'm alright, although one on one's are tricky. Defending, particularly with Richard Keogh, is rough. Turning circle of a battleship. Will have to watch some tutorials to see what I'm doing wrong. Credit where it's due, the set pieces are much improved, although difficult to adapt to initially. The game itself feels easier than usual. AI is a bit more human so you can have a spell where you're dominant and then a few errant passes and suddenly on the back foot for the next 15 minutes. I'm playing on PS5 and there are a few bugs at the moment, mainly involving the presentation camera going out of bounds when scoring a big goal. If you played last year's game on the current generation of console, I wouldn't bother upgrading unless you are madferit. That said, I have heard that Ultimate Team is much improved, although I wouldn't have a clue. One last complaint, after god knows how many years of them copying and pasting the fixture list in for the first season of career mode, I was pretty disappointed to play Port Vale away on the first game of the season. Very minor thing but it must have taken them all of 30 seconds to include that and they opted not to. That should tell you that yet again, offline players are not their concern. Sorry, diverting off topic but just been looking at Elden Ring in the last hour and thinking about it. How you finding it? I'd probably be on PC.

No worries! I love it. Never played a Souls game before, but the open world allows you to avoid bosses until you feel ready which has really helped me. The world is visually stunning and the gameplay is excellent. I spent the first 10 hours just running around the starting area defeating the low level enemies before I felt confident to take on any of the bosses. This game will probably take me years to complete with how little I get to play, but I always have fun. If you do give it a go, I'd recommend starting as a samurai, but you might be more skilled than me!

I very much doubt that, middle aged reactions and limited gameplay time see to that lol. Thanks, I think I'll give it a whirl, got a couple of days off before a long working stretch so should be able to give it a decent start.

FIFA 23 on 19:54 - Oct 3 with 963 views | TresBonne | I'm a big fan of it this year personally. You actually have to build up an attack & have some skill in order to score goals, can't just run through and spam buttons + get lucky. Have played like 45 games now and feel as though every game has been a fair result & I haven't lost to some bollox broken game mechanic. Didn't play last year but I've picked up my trading habits from 21 again. 1.6 mil in four days. Maybe I should get out more.

I do agree with that - scored plenty of last minute winners and felt a change from oppo to oppo. I do like the attacking, but I feel players can be a bit static at times. I think the biggest problem is that it just feels a bit slapped together. Nice ideas, but sloppy execution.
