Sympathies.
For an org. that basically want money out of you, they're incredibly inept - had no reminder to submit this year, & no idea till I logged in y'day that apparently I've owed them £2.50! for several months, interest accruing all the time - never had a bill or reminder for it - had no idea what it was for (interest owed from last year apparently, doh). Apparently any forms they arrange to send out tomorrow could take 2-3 weeks to arrive ... I didn't bother to ask why, but surely even the RM strike days couldn't account for it taking that long. | |

I struggled to prove my identity when trying to open a Gateway account with them at the weekend. Tried twice and they couldn't verify it. I'm hoping that it is because I haven't got round to changing my address on my driving licence with the DVLA, which I have now done online. I hope that when that comes through I can try again and it works - otherwise it will be a telephone call. You don't fill me with much confidence... [Post edited 19 Oct 2022 17:56]

You need two forms of ID or one plus last year's SA details,, so hard luck those who don't have a DL & whose passport is out of date ...
I think they're probably esp busy atm cos of 31/10 deadline. Might be easier if you phone after then, as long as you can eventually complete on line. They are sometimes prepared to give extensions if you have decent reasons tho (incl. their own failures). | |
