The Union Jack Club are desperately trying to fight planning permission for a high rise building next to the club. The building would impact negatively on the enjoyment for many thousands of service personnel, by blocking both the view and natural light. The union Jack Club is a members club/hotel for those that have served, while visiting London.

My mum and dad were staying there when my dad fell very ill and was diagnosed with a brain tumour. He was immediately hospitalised and Mother stayed there until Pop had a massive operation, not sure how long it was but it was quite some time, my Mrs moved in there as well to keep Mother company.
They were brilliant.

Good to hear that they looked after your family Lucars. I stay there whenever I'm in London and it really is a unique place. They once allowed me to sleep on a sofa when I was drunk and there were no available rooms. They then let me shower and fed me before the bar opened and we started again. | |

I’ve been to the Union Jack Club on a number of occasions and know the area. I will submit an objection to this ghastly gargoyle. I know it’ll make developers rich and a few politicians will do nicely out of little brown envelopes, but I’m tired of these a’holes riding roughshod over everybody and everything in the name of profit.
Planning laws were brought in for a reason and the tories are dismantling them for a reason - lining their own pockets. |  | | |
