If you cannot explain it, don't hand me that word, don't use a word that you cannot describe because you don't know what you mean - or maybe you know exactly what you mean and you're afraid to say what you mean, so let's have that conversation."

Come on jeera, get with the programme, the interviewer was obviously primed by the woke lefty producer to ask the question! -)

Ah yes I see. Didn't think of that. Obvious now you've spelt it out. I do read some of those comments from time to time and cannot work out if they're mostly genuine and how many are from bots etc. There can't be enough time in the day for so much hate you'd have thought. It must be exhausting.

Does any accusation of overall BBC bias really have any sense behind it. I think some people would like a constantly neutral broadcaster effectively presented by a bunch of robots. Or (more likely) one that only presents their own political views. Of course, in their minds, the bias is in having on someone for interview who would be so bold as to challenge the ridiculousness of the current use of "woke" as a term of abuse.

The odd thing with criticism of the BBC from the right is that the BBC is far less critical of the Government, and no more "woke" on issues such as climate change and race, than Sky News, Channel 4 News and ITV News, and yet the others never get any criticism from the right wing media or the Tories. It does make me laugh when rags like the Daily Mail keep banging on about BBC bias. Irony is still alive and well.
