having kind of 'got over' last night here are my musings

1, The midfield looked tired which, bearing in mind we have 5 midfield players out injured in hardly surprising. Over the past few weeks I'm sure Morsy would have been rested and had we been able to bring on Evans, Ball, Camara, Aluko or Harness it would have made a difference

2, Both Chappers and Morsy got clattered and could well have been struggling (see point above)

3, this years "Clive Thomas Award' could well go to that ref last night. Rooney could have been red carded for his assault on Chappers, numerous 'fouls' on our players went 'unnoticed' (like the two handed shove on Chappers in the 2nd half) and how was that NOT a penalty at the end

And Remember Supporting a Football Team is for Life not just when we win

Rooney playing like his manager played. Annoying for sure, and I was hoping someone would scythe him down and leave him in a heap. But he had the last laugh.

Other than Morsy there’s no one in our squad capable of that kind of retribution. What we need is a Big Al in the team.

I should have included TJJ in that list 6 so that’s 6 players out

My first thought was 'Chopper' Jefferson - but he would stand there with a big grin on his face and get red-carded.
Big Al would claim complete innocence and just get a ticking off.
So yeah, Alan Hunter.

Don't believe a word I say. I'm only kidding. Or am I?

I'm not sure if Big Al would get red carded for the tackle or swearing at the player rolling around on the ground afterwards for being just a wimp

either way Id love to him in prime at the centre of our defence for a match
