Despite our mega squad we somehow don't have anyone capable.

Well we've scored from outside the box the joint-most times in the league so it's not really as big an issue as people think for some reason.
Lazy criticism for me as it assumes that if we kept doing it one would fly in. Morsy had a couple as did Burns but they were all blocked or poorly hit. Not a particularly effective gameplan to just hit speculative efforts all half. |  |

I'm very surprised by that. I'm not counting Edwards' cross by the way!
On your second paragraph, quite the opposite really. I don't trust anyone to do it. My issue is that despite how good our squad is we don't seem to have enough individual quality that will win games when the oppo isn't letting you pass it into the net, in my opinion.

The stats do say that Garv and also that shots from range in general don't have a high xg. However, I feel the same at times, our shooting from range is poor. Also, we are dreadful from free kicks around the box. Chaplin against Barnsley aside, we have done nothing from them. |  |

Evans strikes them quite well but a) has been injured and b) tends to sit deeper without being in a position to have a go so much.
I don't think it's fair to imply we only win because the opposition are poor enough to let us pass it in, we've fought hard to win plenty of games or have simply been too good to let the other team have a sniff. | |
