The Flynn Downes sell-on clause 11:21 - Jan 1 with 2203 viewsLegendofthePhoenix

I think I remember reading on here that we have a 25% sell-on clause with Swansea? However, that would usually be paid immediately when the player is sold (and each time any top-ups are paid). I think it was portmanking who said that the Swans however still owe us around £1.5M, do we have any supporting evidence for this? Obviously it would be very nice if that is the case.

Poll: would you rather

Depends how West Ham paid Swansea. If they are paying instalments then we would receive our sell on in instalments too

Surely, the sell-on payments to us depend entirely on the terms of the deal between Swansea and West Ham, which presumably included staggered payments, although the details of the deal were not disclosed, iirc.

We will have cash in the kitty anyway as no way would Ashton budgeted for 28,000 gates.

Expect to be pleased with the quality of any signings.

I think they have a calendar year from the sale to settle with us

Indeed, and our sell-on was 20 per cent of profit.
