McKenna learning on the job is killing us right now. 17:11 - Jan 21 with 702 viewsNeedhamChris

We've been unable to put any kind of form together since Charlton and there's no end in sight based on the performance today. Not doubting his high ceiling but there's no room for the errors we are making.

We've been a midtable side for 3 months on a Championship budget.

Currently McKenna is more Jaap Stam than I'd like - fancy football but results not good enough. He's failing right now..and we don't have long to turn it around.

Hes been coaching for 14 years, not sure he's truly learning on the job.

Poll: Would Lambert have acheived better results than Cook if given the same resources

I don't even think he would agree with that, it's a completely different role.

There's a difference between coaching players in tactical drills on the training pitch, which a lot of our games look like, and managing a team to be effective at winning professional football matches.

He's going to have to identify the difference between the two and sort it out, even if it means sacrificing some of the things he wants to see in a football team.
