When was the last time we got a late winner? 11:43 - Feb 15 with 865 views | iamipswich | Portsmouth at home in the 80th minute is the best I can find. It seems to have been a trend for the other sides competing at the tope end of the table that they can snatch victories from the jaws of a draw/defeat whereas we do the opposite. We know the late goals conceded is a mental issue that can develop, but is there a mental block about getting late winners?

When was the last time we got a late winner? on 13:39 - Feb 15 with 759 views | Steve_M | Conceding late goals isn't as big an issue as it has been made out to be, Wednesday, Charlton, Fleetwood and Plymouth is about it. I think that not believing that we can win matches late on is a far bigger issue, matches just drift by like yesterday or Cambridge after we equalised. It's another reason why Charlton was such a blow, that could have been a perfect confidence boosting late win.

Tangentially but I think a factor along with our lack of teeth in latter stages: the introduction of five subs, allied to the appetite of most opponents to timewaste, has made the last 20 minutes of games in this division virtually unwatchable & therefore unplayable unless you can muster up something with a set-piece or quick burst or brilliance. Barely anything happens much of the time and it's not compensated for.

We just don't seem to really up the tempo enough when we need a goal. There is no throwing the kitchen sink at it. We implicitly "trust the process" until the very end. The Charlton game was important. But let's not forget, Morsy was driving for another goal deep into stoppage time when we were leading. Where has that kind of drive gone?
