The only solution is a points deduction of 9 points plus. I'm still waiting on Sheffield Wednesdays punishment. Until fans cost their club promotion, or get their club relegated, this will never stop.

Tony Burnett was proposing the same for racist abuse earlier. His comment was "if it is going to cost your team points, it is very heavy motivation for fellow fans to police it".

I agree with him and you. Any points deduction would be enough, but 4 points would seem reasonable for an initial offence with doubling it for any further offence. This can, of course, be overturned on appeal so would need clear definitions to ensure courts don't do this.

Very few people are totally anonymous these days and so it probably won’t take long to identify whether someone is a supporter of a rival club.
