I thought Motosn was a poor commentator, regularly getting the basic facts wrong & far too keen to spunt near irrelevant statistics & obviously rehearsed one liners. His main asset was his obvious enthusiasm, as he was a football fanatic. I think he's remembered fondly largely because, as the BBC commentator, his voice is associated with many historic football moments.
while it's a personal taste thing, IMO Barry Davies was vastly superior. |  |
