No idea, but it is fairly unusual for senior players to be included in the U21s these days. Was being considered for Friday's game, which was postponed. Might well be that they felt it wouldn't benefit him any more than training with the squad. | | | |

It's interesting in itself that senior players are rarely involved. When you look at some prem clubs they have seniors who play who aren't even part of the first team.set up. Liverpool re-signed Jay Spearing to coach but play for u21s. Man Utd have Tom Hiddleston playing for u21s. Last season had Paul McShane. I think the thinking is they set example/standards and the younger lads learn from them. I find it quite strange they play in the matches.
But you would think it's ideal for players coming back from injury. | |

Trialist was centre-half Jokubas Mazionis, who also played today. Is with the Kinetic Foundation, from whom the Blues signed Myles Kenlock as a youngster and more recently another central defender, Henry Curtis.
Mazionis, who has played for Lithuania at U16 and U17 levels, also featured for the U21s in Monday's game against the Bluebirds. Having spent time with West Ham as a schoolboy and has also been with Enfield Borough. | | | |
