Good. The pay offer is an insult. Not only is it significantly below inflation, it comes after a decade of pay stagnation. At some point someone is going to have to make up for a decade of real terms pay cuts in the public sector.

Good. The pay offer is an insult. Not only is it significantly below inflation, it comes after a decade of pay stagnation. At some point someone is going to have to make up for a decade of real terms pay cuts in the public sector.


Have some compassion Herbers. There's billionaires and Tory party donors who won't make triple figure millions this year if we get paid more.

My local branch of Unison had the cheek to include this in their email of recommendation.

'Please note that if more staff were members and more members voted for industrial action then the deal absolutely would be a better one, of that there is no doubt. So if you can please encourage colleagues to join up.'
