Whilst it was not a foul on Walton, McGoldrick is all over Walton in an offside position and then attempts to go for the ball. It is offside.
It was also a deliberate tactic for McGoldrick to disrupt Walton on crosses, so they made their own bed with that one. Zero sympathy.
EDIT: The fact that some Derby fans think we were the only team &$*%housing, is also hilarious. Every single corner they were at it, and they should have had two reds.

Yes - McGoldrick was on top of Walton at every corner - a deliberate ploy that backfired!
I think if we'd lost two nil, and had a goal disallowed at 1-0 like theirs, there would be many angry fans totting up how many points referees have cost us.
I can certainly see the argument for why it should have been disallowed, but I think in this league that goal would have stood more than 50% of the time. We take it - we've certainly had a few bad calls this year, and we were definitely the better side.

I think it helped that Chaplin was in the Ref's ear about Didzy obstructing Walton just before the disallowed goal.
