has anyone got a gravel bike? 14:58 - Jun 23 with 988 views | nodge_blue | I was wondering if you really notice the difference between that and a hybrid bike? Ive just bought a second hand one from eBay. A trek checkpoint. Think Ive paid a lot for a second hand bike but I think that's just the market post pandemic and shortages. I did look at the canyon bikes but there's none in stock in XL size.

has anyone got a gravel bike? on 15:05 - Jun 23 with 946 views | StokieBlue | I used to have a Boardman one before someone stole it. I used it for commuting along the canal - moving from a road bike to that was nice as it's a similar position if you wish to ride it that way but with far more protection on the tyres. Haven't rode a Hybrid but did enjoy the gravel bike a lot. I've gone back to a road bike now as the replacement though and the cycling infrastructure on my route has improved a lot so I don't really miss the "safety" of taking the canal route. SB

I feel Ive probably bought into a few YouTube videos about how they are a bike for everything. I like the wider tyres and hydraulic disk brake idea - though I guess they are on everything now. Prices of new bikes now though are just ridiculous. 2.5k for a decent gravel bike - not even carbon.

I've got a hybrid as well and I'd say the riding position of the CX bike and weight mean it's much quicker / sleaker but a bit leads sturdy. Might depend on the brand though.
