Anyone watching the Palace v Arsenal game? 21:28 - Aug 21 with 1280 viewspointofblue

Ref has just given one of the softest ever yellow cards ever IMO. To make it worse, it was a second yellow so the player's off.

Poll: Who would you play at right centre back on Saturday?

And didn’t give a second yellow to Ayew for a blatant shirt pull a little earlier. They seem to be less consistent than ever

Both were terrible cards to be given, the ref David Coote is playing to the crowd.

Agreed. And there was a cynical trip by a booked Palace card after the Arsenal red... free kick given but, again, no card.

It's times like this when I'd love referees to be forced to explain their decision making to the fans.

Also gave a penalty that sparked a massive debate with my mates. Clearly a penalty under the rules but should these be given when it's clear the ball is going out of play? In my view in an ideal world no, but how would you ever judge?

Poll: We recruit two strikers, one has to be Bonne or Wickham, who would you have?

Followed by a very clear and real shirt pull by an Arsenal player a minute or two later that did not get a yellow card, as you say the first was the lightest of touches. Very strange and inconsistent refereeing, but this is now normal in games throughout the English leagues, refereeing standards are poor and getting worse, inconsistent decisions even with slow motion video replays challenges are interpreted differently in the same game, let alone different games the following week.

Ayew played him knew he had been booked so fell over from the slightest of touches !
