Think the point is Cardiff Police are perfectly happy for a derby match to be played on a Saturday evening whilst Suffolk Police wet themselves at the thought of Ipswich v Norwich kicking off at any time after midday (one bizarre Thursday evening aside).

A bubble match helps all Swas fans are bussed in and out to Swansea. But there are bound to be some over in Cardiff watching in bars.

Access only via coach, taking hours, with no food or drink allowed, there were minor exceptions for anyone who could show they lived the other side of Cardiff. It might be an evening match but nothing else about it is worth enjoying.

Both clubs have been in the English professional league system for over 100 years. Both teams have more league history than many English clubs. Yes, if both clubs were formed now then they will have to play in the Welsh Premier League, but they weren’t and that’s why they are where they are.
Cardiff vs Swansea at 745pm on a saturday night on 21:54 - Sep 16 with 1284 views | Swansea_Blue | We should be getting 6 points from Swansea this season, although I suspect by the time we play them for a second time they'll have a new manager. Although the way things are going down here, there's a chance they could have a new manager before we play them for the first time! Duff looks like their Hurst. They look utterly shoite.

I dont disagree but its not the 1800's anymore is it ? The FAW are trying to improve domestic Welsh football but when Swansea, Cardiff, Wrexham and Newport are allowed to opt out its not going to happen and they have had a Welsh league now since the 1990's UEFA should step in and make them. Scottish and NI teams have their own leagues, they don't ask to play in the EFL do they? Admittedly, those leagues are weak but at least they support their own domestic league and national team whereas Welsh clubs are happy to have a national team but refuse to their domestic league, we know why it's money, but is it any different to Celtic and Rangers being the big fish in the SPL, remember they were wanting to join the Premier league a few years ago ? It not fair on the likes of Leiston, Felixstowe or any other English club aspiring to get into the EFL pyramid when Welsh clubs are taking four English clubs places . Just my opinion.

England has teams in the Scottish leagues. N Ireland has a team in the League of Ireland. It's not unusual for teams in countries all over the world to border hop, for all sorts of reasons.

Cardiff vs Swansea at 745pm on a saturday night on 22:34 - Sep 16 with 1154 views | Jrm_72 | Greetings all, from a stationary car park in Cardiff. I was at the Reading game and decided on a whim that Id make the Cardiff kickoff, so sped on down the M4 and got there with about ten minutes to spare. It was a good atmosphere, very aggressive though as people had been clearly drinking all day. The minute silence before the game lasted about 5 seconds before both fans starting chucking insults to each other. Ramsey is so good at this level, but a fairly dire game all round with Cardiff deserved victors. And the rain was bordering on biblical at times.
