Even the usually very diplomatic Beeb have described it as being ruled out for an "innocuous" foul on the keeper. Having seen it back, there really is very little in it and feel that the ref was looking for a reason to blow. Didn't matter in the end but thus far I'm not sure the standard of refereeing at this level is markedly better than in League 1.
He was awful when we played Stoke. Not much better last night. Watched it a few times and can’t see why it was disallowed.
Reffed both games in a similar fashion in that he let our opponents get away with all kinds of physical play while blowing up against us every time. Hirst nearly lost his shirt a few times last night and didn't get a single decision. He used his body to block their player off and shield the ball and the ref blew straight away. Morsy got clattered in a 50/50 similarly to the Williams booking and no card shown.
