Take a bow young man……..

It’s not been easy for him thus far. Getting a few minutes off the bench here and there, but I really felt that he arrived today. Great work for the first goal and a beautifully weighted pass down the right for Hutchinson to run on to, for the second.

Pleased for him…….

Well said.

He's been reading TWTD. Was copping it last week but came out firing.

Definitely looked more effective playing deeper; No.9 is a big responsibility in any team, but particularly in a system like ours - lot to ask of a young player. Allowed him to drop into pockets of space to get on the ball with a bit more freedom, rather than trying to do that while disrupting the opposition backline - don't think that's beyond him, but it's a role that requires a bit more experience.

That's what I came up with as his role yesterday... disrupter... made the first from the left of the box and architect of the second from the deep far right, it seemed he was asked to just give their defensive shape a problem and he succeeded.
Footnote, it is time for Humphreys to start having a proper substitute role in the same manner as Marcus Harness has been deployed, he's a very good player!

That shimmy on the left for the first and the pass on the right for the second.

What you might call a game changer.

I’ve just rewatched on the Football League show and his delivery in the box was excellent. Agree that he looks much better as a 10; his creativity is great and he has excellent ball control.

They couldn’t get the ball off him - at one point their player egregiously pulled him down by his shirt in frustration.

Much like Hutchinson and Williams, it's taken a few appearances to find his feet. If he starts to flower as the other two have done, we've got a good player on our hands.

Good Lord! Whatever is it?
