GD aint necessarly meaningless come end of season though.

Bloody disgraceful by the ref, Players aren't the only ones on the pitch to take their feet off the pedals prematurely.

Indeed, goal difference certainly isn't meaningless, it can be an extra vital point often. But clean sheets are not used in any league table calculations. It's odd how so many times they are mentioned.

I think in this case you can take ‘clean sheet’ as being synonymous with better goal difference, which is factored into the league table.
