They had reopened it but the time I got there. A12 was shut though so had to go A13 and then just to to top it off the M23 was shut so was on a load of country lanes for the last hour of the journey. |  | | |

I got there just as they were starting the funnelling into the outside lane but the four lanes on the bridge were still open so there was no hold up. [Post edited 14 Jan 2024 9:08]

What time did you leave Ipswich?
I left my father's house at 21:45, was pished off about A12 closure, then got to A13 junction just as the queue was building from there. Took A13 to Thurrock as the roundabout over M25 was fecked then headed into London from there.
Then Blackwall tunnel South was closed according to Matrix board, predictably Rotherhithe and Tower Bridge were fecked so crossed river on Southwark Bridge.
Given the issues didn't think my "just got home WhatsApp" at 00:15 was too bad a journey time 2:30 mind instead of just under 2 hours. journey up took 2:30 due to closure of A12 just South of Chelmsford for what looked like a broken drain cover.

Must've left Ipswich about 9.15, but had to go via Colchester to drop a mate off, left there just after 10.
Yeah had the closed A12 to deal with, then the M25/QE2 nonsense, which added more than an hour to my journey.
And I drove because of the engineering works between Colchester and Ipswich. This country! | |
