Very! Was it wrong that near the end I kind of chuckled a little when the Wembley guy said something like 'and when it started raining they all turned and went home' The guy who jumped on the bus came across as a right knob

I think both of them who were interviewed came across as entitled knobs to be honest. "Do you feel any remorse?" "No, I don't, when I was locked up during Covid, they were having parties in Downing Street, so why should I feel bad" Pr1ck.

unfortunately that seems to be the by-product of the whole partygate fiasco 'if the rules makers break the rules why should we follow them" without any considerate for how it affect anyone else what a world eh

somehow I doubt that guy wasnt partying just as hard during lockdown too Ill watch it at some point, but I read some of the reviews, which didnt fill me with confidence theyd got to the real details and had just followed the overriding media narrative of the final. I think one reviewer mentioned about the police presence at Wembley was low because theyd deployed to Trafalgar square where theyd expected more trouble. now that may well be partly true, but the other reason for a lack of police presence at Wembley is because the FA/Wembley didnt want to pay the policing costs for the police in the ground. similarly with the stewarding, they had a core group of experienced stewards, likely the ones they interviewed, but nowhere near enough to manage a crowd of that size if they became hostile, and had filled the rest of the roles with volunteers, again because of chasing profits, who absolutely were not prepared or willing (and I dont blame them either really) to deal with hostile fans or crowds. I saw it first hand, there was stupid rule saying you had to sit down even when the game wasnt happening, people naturally stand up to stretch their legs for a bit, but the volunteer stewards basically just to look like they were doing something would constantly keep coming to tell people to sit down. but we had a group of very drunk and definitely high, England fans turned up, they could barely stand up, kept stumbling over, were very aggressive and abusive to anyone near them. the volunteer stewards, and even the paid professional ones, completely left them alone, didnt even go near them to tell them to sit, or stop swearing at everyone, so they stood for as much of the time they were in the stadium, even whilst the stewards were still going round telling the non-drunk non drugged up people to sit down.
