Ah, I see it's using the old "solar activity" chestnut. The issue with that is that whilst it's wrong it sounds quite plausible for people not willing to look at the evidence and thus it's quite easy for it to gain traction. There is a form of temperature change which is driven by the Sun but it's to do with eccentricities in it's orbit (Milankovitch cycles) and some theories state we are actually in a cooling period. I don't know why they don't suggest tipping the Earth on its edge so that most of that solar activity passes by. Then again I suppose the water and some ships would fall off, but hey, at least sea levels wouldn't be rising. |  |
