Sort of glad England have Spain in the final, France would have been tougher 11:55 - Jul 11 with 1527 views | WeWereZombies | I think Deschamps would have known how to set up his team to frustrate England and Southgate might not have had the tactics to respond. Make no mistake, I still think Spain can win but there is a better chance of grinding them down over the ninety, or one hundred and twenty minutes.

Sort of glad England have Spain in the final, France would have been tougher on 11:59 - Jul 11 with 1495 views | _clive_baker_ | I think France would've been a slog, arguably we would have more chance of coming through it victorious against them, but if we are to lose on Sunday I would rather it be to Spain than France, so in that respect I'm happy with the outcome. I worry about us defensively against Spain's quality tbh, we've dominated possession in every game so far which naturally protects our potential frailties from being too exposed, but I can't see that being the case against Spain who like to look after the ball. They're a bit more direct than Spain sides of previous years but still possess a lot of quality in the middle. I make us 2nd favourites but its not unthinkable that we win. We've found a way thus far.
Sort of glad England have Spain in the final, France would have been tougher on 12:09 - Jul 11 with 1429 views | Sarge | There is another aspect to it where if we win the tournament we’ll have had to do so by beating the best team in it. The worst case scenario would be to lose to France given how poor they’ve been themselves and then we reflect for evermore on the golden opportunity we missed.
Sort of glad England have Spain in the final, France would have been tougher on 12:22 - Jul 11 with 1362 views | BarcaBlue | Spain have huge respect for England and English football in general. Foden and Bellingham are the 2 players that are always singled out here. There's definitely no sense of taking England lightly. The Spanish defence is definitely their weakness. Williams is a real hot & cold player, hopefully he'll be on a quiet day. Lamine seems a lot more consistent, consistently very dangerous. Morata a hard working but unremarkable centre forward who they have no obvious replacement for. I would make Spain clear favourites but if we can stifle their midfield and get at their left / right backs when out of position we have a reasonable chance. Think Saka could be the key for us and we need a Foden like yesterday's first half.

Spain are a very good thing but against France they seemed to be vulnerable from set-pieces when the ball was in the air. That could be something which we could exploit.

Not sure that I would be so harsh as to say that France have been poor but the tournament has shown that they are uneven, whereas Spain are strong all over (perhaps with the exception of the goalkeeper Simon). Even to say that there were weak links in the French sides would be too much but there was an over reliance on Mbappé and, to a lesser extent, Dembele. When the latter went off in the semifinal (perhaps an unavoidable tactical substitution due the amount of work he had got through and the subsequent tailing off of his contribution) then it looked much easier for Spain to manage the game out.

i think our experience of losing in the final will help us enormously. Spain favourites, without doubt.
