What? Davis had a real struggle on Saturday. I think he's going to be a top player at this level, but going off the weekend, I'm certainly not going to dismiss the remaining eight who played and have been 'moved on' in the OP. | |

Struggle? He played directly against one of the best players in the world. Kept him quiet for the first half, then had a TAA pass inside him (which probably takes out most Premier League full backs) for the first goal and then a lapse of concentration, probably due to fatigue for the 2nd.

The other eight, who apparently won't be playing for us by Christmas, were against some of the best players in the world as well.
Apologies if it came across as overly critical of Davis, as I was trying to defend the remaining players. They got us here, they deserve a chance to prove themselves against opposition slightly less strong than Liverpool. | |

Couple of points you might be overlooking:-
a) It's a squad game- there will be injuries, loss of form and suspensions
b) 9 times out of 10, Mckenna uses all 5 substitutes to allow us to play with high intensity for 95+ minutes every game. | |
